how to measure

Using a tape measure, measure around your pet’s neck in the position where their collar would comfortably sit. Don’t forget to leave some extra room! At least two fingers should comfortably fit inside your tape measure, or alternatively you can add approx. 2.5cm (1”) to your dog’s neck circumference. If you don’t have a tape measure handy, you can use a piece of string that’s cut to length in the right position and hold this against your ruler.
Alternatively, you can measure your pet’s current collar from the collar’s end to the hole that fits them most comfortably, as shown in the images below.
Note: The wider the collar, the more space you will need. For our ‘Gild’ silhouette, we recommend adding extra space. If your pet is close to the larger end on the Build and Shield collars, we recommend sizing up for the Gild.
